Bad router signal

I placed my TP-LINK_4B58 literary just outside my room but still get 3 out 6 bars. I changed the channel since there are a lot of signals coming from different routers but still no cigar. Any tips? Thanks!

Using the bars isn't the best way to measure your signal. Try doing speed tests at different locations.

with how many devices are you testing?

tp-link is pretty potato, and when you're testing it with another potato it'll be not too mindblowing of a result.

 

 

btw, the bars arent the issue, the moment you get a good link its all good.

Oh sorry about that. I used an Iphone, a samsung note 3 and a macbook but still getting 1/4 speed compared to connecting outside my room.
