I know it's a 'dream build' but here are my critiques.

Overkill RAM.

Don't RAID your SSDs.

Anything beyond two-way Crossfire/SLI is a waste of money.

And you got fricking Gigabyte R9 390s - voltage locked and subpar coolers.

EDIT: Three R9 390s and you decide to get two TN 1080p monitors? Nice.

'Fanboyism is stupid' - someone on this forum.

Be nice to each other boys and girls. And don't cheap out on a power supply.

The problem is that this is an nVidia product and scoring any nVidia product a "zero" is also highly predictive of the number of nVidia products the reviewer will receive for review in the future.

Okay,  I totally agree with most of the things you pointed out except with what is wrong with RAIDing SSDs. Also, I understand the R9 390s were from Gigabyte, but it makes the cons up with aesthetics and it is pretty much the only one that can fit in the case. There's no noticeable benefit in speed with RAID. You're only increasing your chances of data failure.

'Makes up cons with aesthetics' - prioritising looks over performance? Okay. Just go two GTX 980Tis and be done with it.

Not to mention you decided to get 1080p TN monitors with this build. On this sort of budget, you should really get 1440p IPS monitors.

IDK? the original build is this one:http://pcpartpicker.com/user/CarletonD/saved/gn3Pxr over time it will be upgraded into the other one.

Maybe you impatiently pressed the "Add" button countless times every time you added a part.

Or you have those fancy mouse with 2x left click buttons. Or both. xD

Original build is FOINE.

144 hz makes a difference. Ever heard of Raid 10 before? That doesn't only help performance, but also makes it so if one SSD breaks, the data will still be there:) original build again http://pcpartpicker.com/user/CarletonD/saved/gn3Pxr for the 390 choice

Unless you're paranoid as hell, there's no reason to go RAID 10 since the failure rate of SSDs is already very low. Mirroring two and creating a backup to another disk would be the better choice if you're actually that paranoid.

The CX series are not suitable to be paired with the R9 390. The quality is simply not good enough.

At least get a IPS 1080p monitor.

He literally just looked for the most expensive parts, even if you could get better performance out of something else. First of all, the keyboards SUCK and a TRACKBALL mouse, SERIOUSLY??? Who needs 16 Monitors?

pcpartpicker literally imposes NO LIMIT to the number of monitors you can purchase. Given more time i'd have gone with 256 monitors to run on a 16x16 array.
