Right guys, i have decided that i will get a all new PC for Uni, and leave my current one at home as a Media PC, even though its really OP for a Media PC but oo well :D

I have a Budget of £1400, and here are my two builds im thinking of.

1st Build - http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/1Et52

2nd Build - http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/1Etpm   <-- Slight over my budget but i can sell something i have and dont use, like one of my old phones lol

The basic use of the computer will be AutoCad and all that good stuff, i will also be recording my own game play with Dxtory or Fraps, editing it and all that good stuff

So the real question here is should i go with the 4770K or the 3930K (I know the new 4930K is out, but i want the 3930k over it :D )

I would get the 4770K one since it is more powerful and in terms of gaming and having a better and more effective CPU than having a more expensive motherboard is a better choice. Just like in Linus' recent video he shows that motherboards don't effect performance at all so or not noticeably / worth the money. Also the MSI motherboard is a hell lot nicer than the Asrock one in my opinion.

So you guys dont think i will use the extra cores, or even benefit from those extra cores, such as when im recording while playing? And improve rendering times and what not?

Thanks for the advice!!! :D

Well if you want the best and willing to pay more ,3930k will be a bit better there's no doubt.

As far as I could get from your previous posts, I would suggest these builds.

Small case wich is awesome for Uni! Should be in your budget aswell.

If you don't want to go that small because you maybe want to add a soundcard, you can take this instead.

Note, if you want to SLI this you need to change the PSU.

Hope this helps.

Cooling will be Watercooled. and PSU is a Cosair AX860i PSU, case i dont really know atm lol

Custom loop? Do you already have the psu?

What kind of AutoCAD are you doing? Scale of projects?

Im thinking of sticking with the 4770K, as one its cheaper and two i wont be doing anything on the Pro Level, so i wont need the extra cores the 3930K provides, also i much prefer the looks of the MSi Board :) , But this will be decided once i see how the 3930K performs for my friend whos got a system on its way to his :), if it blows everything out of the water then maybe, but i highly doubt it will compared to 4770K :D

@Kiwiandapple, Id love to go with a Mini/Micro ATX build but I already have a case the HAF932, also i already have a the PSU Corsair AX860i. Ideally a smaller build would be better due to transportation and what not as im living out, but i already got a spare case :)

@WoodenMarker, Yes custom loop which i already have all the parts for other than a GPU Block, a few Fittings, and Tubing :), and as for PSU already have it :). Well i will be using a lot of Catia for Projects that i will be given during my course, and also Photoshop, AfterEffects, Vegas to do my Video editing.  Thats kind of why ive gone for a 500GB SSD, to get all my Programmes onto, and games and OS :) And then i have WD 500GB VelociRaptor on its way to me which i will use for all my Files and all that stuff :)
