Why not I5 OR I7 or even the 5ghz amd one they released.

You went with AMD 8350 cos you like them as a company or value or is it for the performance?

So, you said that you will do some video editing.

I know that in video editing and rendering more cores=quicker rendering and, the FX 8320, FX 8350, that 4.7 fx cpu and the 5Ghz one ARE THE SAME PROCESOR. the only difference are the clocks. they are factory overclocked

That's why I added the cheapest one and a good cooler so you can overclock it yourself :)

If you have any more questions don't hezitate to quote me :)

They deliver the same performance, the boost clock will probably be the same and in the worst case the fps difference would be of 1-2fps

He should choose the one he visually likes the most

Take a look at my build in my signature, it's similar.

Still I urge you to get a AMD 8350 if you're gonna do soem video editing and gaming. In my opinion a better choice. I only went with an i5 because I only do gaming on my PC.

Intel 4770k@4.6GHz, ASUS ROG Maximus VI Hero, Kingston HyperX Beast 2x8GB 2400MHz CL11, Gigabyte GTX 1070 Gaming, Kingston HyperX 3k 240GB - RAID0 (2x120Gb), 2xWD 1TB (Blue and Green), Corsair H100i, Corsair AX860, CoolerMaster HAF X, ASUS STRIX Tactic pro, Logitech G400S, HyperX Cloud II, Logitech X530, Acer Predator X34.

An AMD FX8350 (or even an FX8320) would really come in handy for video editing. Although the platform is kind of outdated, it's still offers solid performance at a cheaper price. If you do care about newer features such as better on-board audio implementations, I would advise you to go the Intel route though.

http://pcpartpicker.com/user/BillyCool/saved/2pgo

CPU:  AMD FX-8350 4.0GHz 8-Core Processor  ($199.99 @ Newegg)- Great value for gaming and editing  needs. Great overclocker.
CPU Cooler:  Corsair H100i 77.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler  ($89.99 @ NCIX US)- Very good AIO cooler, comes with Corsair Link as well.
Motherboard:  Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard  ($132.86 @ Newegg)- Decent motherboard with every basic feature you may need and good overclocking capabilities.
Memory:  G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory  ($59.98 @ NCIX US)- Standard 8GB 1600Mhz kit, matching the general black/blue theme of the build. You can still use your own kit and save some $$$
Storage:  OCZ Vertex 450 Series 128GB 2.5" Solid State Disk  ($129.99 @ Newegg)- Close to Vector performance at a way lower price. Great value overall.
Storage:  Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive  ($85.98 @ Outlet PC)- Standard 2TB for mass storage. Basic performance.
Video Card:  HIS Radeon HD 7970 3GB Video Card  ($337.98 @ Newegg)- Great card, good overclocker, still a very good choice for high end gaming. Performs similar to a GTX 770 but comes at a lower price, with 3GB of VRAM (versus 2) and with 3 game codes for games of your choice. Personally, I think it's a way better value compered to the GTX 770 (re-branded 680 basically).

Total: $1006.77

If you use your own RAM and get the SSD at a later time, you can get an Asus VS248H-P for 180$ instead. It's a great looking 1080p 24" screen which is perfect if you're not into 120Hz, 3D gaming or higher end IPS panels etc.

IPC is terrible on FX8350. Single threaded Cinebench scores for amd are laughable. If you need threads get a 4770k, if you dont 4670k.
