Forum slow after the update?

I'm not sure if its just something with my PC/ isp, but after the update the forum received a few months back, loading times have gotten very poor for me.

Its quite hit or miss, where some posts load up not much slower than before (a second or 2), however others will take nearly 5 seconds to load.

I'm not complaining or anything, because I come here to kill time and it does not bother me too much, but I just want to know if others noticed this as well...

It is slightly slower, but it's not really noticeable to me.

It is definitely slower

Alright cool, so I'm not just going insane...

Not sure what would cause the slowdown, but im not aware of the amount of systems that were changed to facilitate the upgrade, because at a first glance, it seems like just a bit of a a facelift.

Yeah, definitely something in the back end is making the site slightly slower

It's slower to the point I prefer the old forum.

Yeah, I think the new version is really nice, and has a lot of little things done to streamline the experience, but it took a while to get used to it for me...

Guess that was bound to happen if anything changes, because I adapt real slow...

The only thing really slow for me is the "Content I posted in" activity stream.  It can take up to 25-30 seconds to load the content.

Dont get me wrong, I like the new forum, but I hate lag, and this forum feels laggy as hell to me, so if I had the option of this forum with all the bells and whistles, or the older one, I would take the older one.

Think thats what most of the "die hard" forum users would say... Me included.

This is likely a more intuitive forum for newer users, but after getting used to the quirks of the old version, it threw me for a loop.

The forum is for me usually at least 5 times as slow as the old forum, while missing a few very useful features from the old one. A massive bummer, which cut my forumtime down by about 90%.
