New entry level build, critisim needed

So i was going to build myself a entry level build with a budget of around 500 bucks USD. Also you aren't going to want that PSU, you don't need extra paste, that motherboard isn't good for that platform, a 380 is faster than a 960, and you don't need a DVD drive, also I'd go WD over seagate

 

Also this is the only wireless card you should really consider, $30 and it supports up to wireless AC, you don't want a cheap card if you're going to be gaming over wifi

The CPU Cooler already comes with good thermal paste. Just change your PSU to a seasonic, XFX or EVGA one. You don't need an optical drive, no one really uses them anymore. As well go with an R9 380, it's around the same price and performs around 10% better.

Well a few things.

 

1. I don't think you need that cooler, with that low of a CPU and probably no overclocking. You could save a bit of money there

2. You don't need to buy thermal paste, it already has it applied to the stock CPU cooler, unless you really want to buy that cpu cooler

3. That CPU might bottleneck the GPU in some games.

The 860K isn't a real quad core, it only has two modules, get the i3 6100.

It's not like an i3 is a pentium dual core, it's still basically a quad core, at least for the game that really want/require quad cores, it's going to be faster anyways even if you were to OC the 860K

Price to performance, RAM speed does not affect performance that much. It's useless to spend $30 more for barely anything.

Focus on DDR3, not DDR4. The FPS comparison from 1600 to 2133 is barely anything. It's not worth spending $30 more on 2-4fps, especially since it's 8GB of RAM and not 16

I think any ddr3 with around 8 gbs would work well for me. Im going to be playing games like fallout, counter strike, gmod, tomb raider, ect

Most of those games are not to CPU demanding so you should be fine!

This is one game, look at other games. The biggest difference from this video in terms of FPS from 1600 to 2133 was 6fps. Like I said, it's price to performance. He's clearly on a budget. If he had a larger budget, it may have been worth it however he would be able to go with a better CPU and GPU.

40 frames would work for me, its a 500 buck build not a 800  Just want a base pc to be able to freely upgrade
