980Ti for $425

Is it possible to find a used 980 Ti for $425 USD? Is it even worth trying. Or should I settle for a 980 and not be so insane? Wher? Who? I've checked all of Craigslist and eBay but can't find one 980 Ti under $500. Plz help, as I am quite desperate to upgrade my GPU.

I doubt it unless there is something wrong with the GPU. 980 ti is an expensive card.

Gamble on a dead one and try reflowing it using the oven method; that's all I can think of. Sniping an eBay auction at the last minute rides more on sheer luck than anything else.

Alternatively, the R9 Nano goes for $475 brand new, and its performance is close to that of the 980 Ti. Perhaps that might be a better way to go.

R9 Nano is slightly faster than a 980

You're essentially getting an underclocked Fury X for $475. That's probably the best value on the market right now, despite the fact that the card is designed to throttle.

Yeah man, 980Tis are expensive as all balls. I paid over $700 for mine. If you happen to find one at that price, there's probably something wrong with it. If your simply interested in a good deal, then check EVGA b stock and for more reasonable used cards.

Let's say I have $10,000 and need a new car. I can happily get a lightly used Honda and be on my way and get 8+ years out of it. BUT I realllly want a godamn Lamborghini, so I search to the ends of the earth for a super cheap used lambo, by some stroke of luck I find one and buy it. I drive it off the lot and 5 minutes later the whole car combusts, so I'm left 10 g's in the hole and now I don't have a car at all!

Save the pain and go with the Honda my friend
