Any other ThinkPad users here?

Hello fellow LTTers, I'm just seeing how many other people use or are fans of ThinkPads. I personally use a ThinkPad T420 with an i5-2550m and Nvidia 4200m GPU.

Well, I guess their build quality is outstanding, they are fast for the specs, and have very good cooling, but because most of the lineup is super overpriced, we spend way more on them then we should ($600 CAD for a Celeron? What?!), and I feel we could better spend the money on cheaper notebooks from other companies.

Successor? technically one has already been released... unless you mean the retro ThinkPad?

There is a laptop that is called the T430, but it is no successor  I am waiting for something that is the T420, but better... Still waiting

Ya I suppose so, I'm still using my T420 but looking to upgrade to the T430s. I know some don't like the keyboard but I like very much so.

used a t42 when it wasn't obsolete. wonderful machine. my next laptop will hopefully be a retro thinkpad if lenovo can deliver

Originally had a T40 but I ended up burning the GPU off the board playing some Sega 32X game XD, I now have a x220 and it's awesome!

I have a few thinkpads that I use regularly. T420 with mint and xfce, x201 with arch, and a T60p with arch (it's old but I still love it <3).

Basic specs for it are in my signature and tbh its not too bad of a laptop/notebook

I just resurrected a Lenovo Thinkpad W500, but moved to an MSI GE40 once I realized that the piddly little Core 2 Duo couldn't take advantage of an SSD. I have about a dozen T400s and half a dozen T61s in my wardrobe. All of them work, and I got them for $10 a piece on craigslist. They'll make nice little Linux machines, NASes and Plex servers.

Tbhhhh I wish it had a numpad on the side ;-;
But it plays emulated GBA games very greatly so I am all set for burning my boredom at school owo

I used to have a thinkpad edge with AMD Turion. Used it to watch videos and go on the Internet and playing with emulators
