I'm looking into using an AMD FX-4350 for a PC build and I was wondering if FX CPUs have a hyperthread or hyperthread-like capability or something along the lines of being able to share spare processing on other tasks. Maybe even splitting each core's power to multitask a core?

No, they do not have hyperthreading, and that's why intel CPU's are alot more popular. Not to mention the heat output of AMD is a bit high.

If you want a cheap quad core an amd 860k would be a better option since it will consume a lot less power.

The architecture itself (CMT) that AMD used is a bit flawed, because you've got two "cores" put into a module and they share some of the resources within that module. That makes them lack in IPC and single-threaded performance. Multi-threaded one is good though. So your 4350 is essentially a 2-module CPU with 4 cores.

No , they do not feature SMT ( hyperthreading ) . AMD says their ZEN cpus should feature it , but we won't know until they come out.
