Do any of you maintain a stable OC GPU in BF4?

LokiFire

My 580 is rock solid in every game i throw at it except BF4... it will run great then just randomly freeze for no reason and show some stupid DX error.

I have to keep it stock or the game just crashes, could be an hour could be 30 minutes, it's weird.

Sure your power supply and cooler can keep up with the OC?

Silverstone ST1000-G PSU and it's a EVGA FTW HC2 under a GELID icy Vision.

My 970 is overclocked about 50 - 100 megahertz and it works fine on Ultra settings 1440p running 200+ FPS.

Overclocking with BF4 wasn't my problem because it does not use as many resources. I saw a problem in a game which suprised me. GTA V so I recommend using a bench marking tool to see how the GPU does that actually pushes it.

Hmmm... ok. Seems good. You are watercooling the graphics card? Are the pump running nice and the water flowing free?

No the card came like that but i put it under a Gelid Icy vision, i got a great deal on that card, that is why i bought it.

I don't go passed 72c in BF4 with my 580 pegged at 99%, 1920x1080 75hz refresh, medium-high with 2xMSAA, framerate is usually 50-100+FPS

Well, I don´t know why the card don´t want to be overclocked. Maybe the card just can´t be overclocked anymore? Probably to unstable? IDK.

Only happens with BF4 so i just guess BF4 is not really well made TBH.
