Hello All,

After a lot of research, these are the two shortlisted headphones based on my budget, looks and feel, and availability in India.

My queries are:

1- Is there any significant difference between these when it comes to the audio quality?

2- Ear-cups, what material should I prefer? Fabric or Leatherette?

3- Dolby Digital 7.1, which one is better? Also if there is any other option, please do let me know.

4- Also about the wireless one, G930, can I use it with my phone with standard 3.5mm audio jack?

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Aren't there any G633's in India?  Do you need the mic?  For the price of a G930, you can get so much better audio quality getting some mid tier audiophile stuff.

3. Ear cup material is preference

4. 7.1 is bs

5. audio quality goes down when you send digital

They are available, but double the cost.

Sorry, headsets, right.

I know audiophile headphones sound good when it comes to music. But they are not really recommended for gaming. They are just stereo, so all you can know is the difference between left and right.

Digital 7.1 will give gamers a 360 sense and that's how you know where your enemy is at.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

Double the cost? Wow, in USD prices the G633 is the same as the G930.

Most games do not have good surround recording anyway, you really won't feel the difference.  And if you really want surround, most sound cards let you enable it already.

OMG NO dude you have listed to the companies audiophile headphones are the best for gaming. 98% of all "7.1/5.1" are virtual not real and the real ones sound like shit. Look up barber shop and you will see that stereo gives you a 360 sense.

Most really high end gamers will use open "audiophile" headphones when they game at home, because they are much better than that fake 7.1 and 5.1 to pinpoint enemies.

Ok, sounds good. What pair you think I should go for then? And what about Tiamat 7.1?

No... It highly depends on what their preferences are (talking about the open "audiophile" headphones not the 7.1, 5.1)
