PS/PS3 Audio

Hello guys, I've got a PS3/PS4 but not with me at the moment, they are in London. I've got a Monitor but the only problem that I'm facing it doesn't have audio in. Only HDMI, VGA and DVI-I. How would I get Audio to Consoles.

 

Monitor is an Acer S240HL.

Audio TO the consoles? Don't you mean to the monitor from the consoles?

Some monitors have built in speakers which work with audio that comes from the HDMI from your PS3/4, some even have 3,5mm jacks for output of that sound to for example a simple set of speakers

PS3 has no audio input. Only output. My interpretation is they're trying to send audio to the PS3.

Yes and the PS4. I've been told I can get Audio from the PS4 using the Controller, All I need to is plug in some headphones.

Monitor doesn't have Speakers nor does it have an Audio Jack.

(Don't think it works with PS4 though) You have to set your PS3 to output audio to composite and you can plug in your speakers or something via the 3.5mm port.

into the composite cable of you PS3 (which you PS3 came with one). you dont have to plug it into a tv/monitor, you can just let it sit there. You are only directing the audio over that connection
