Evga 980ti hybrid

namarino

Hey guys, I was curious if any of you had any experience with the 980ti hybrid. I bought one and ended up having to rma it several times and ultimately sold it because it was making a buzzing sound. The sound was coming from the pump. Have any of you had this problem? Thanks.

was it microbubbles?

because if it is then you just need to mount the radiator vertically with the tubing barbs at the top and leave it like that for a week, eventually the sound goes away

No it was a buzzing sound. I heard that sound too but it went away. I'm just curious if other people have experienced this sound.

Mine does make a buzzing sound, but only when under high load.

I'm trying to decide whether or not to get another one or to just go for the g1 gaming. The RMA products that I was given all had that buzzing. So I'm just not really sure.

If it wasn't high-pitched like coil whine, then that was the pump.

I don't have any personal experience with the EVGA Hybrid, but AIOs can have noisy pumps. Maybe the unit EVGA uses is just one of them.

I haven't noticed any buzzing with my Hydro GFX (uses an H55), so maybe that's one to try out. Don't hold me to that though...
