Change dedicated graphics Windows 10

Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone knew how to increase the dedicated graphics on a laptop.
This is what my graphics properties looks like: http://imgur.com/BIGA2Fn
Here's my specs: http://imgur.com/SNSaPms
Even on games like GTA Online it says video memory 2540/512MB
Could I possibly be able to change the dedicated graphics in the registry?, so it shows around 2540/6374MB?
Much appreciated, Thank you everyone.

its seems like your GPU is pretty weak and only has 512MB of VRAM :o

and to make up for the limited VRAM, it will use the system RAM as VRAM

you cant do much to improve memory

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

Are you talking about increasing the memory your iGPU (apparently) uses? I think it can be possible...

Unless your PC is a laptop, or a pre-built (which I think it is), you can easily increase video memory through BIOS. Do try the solution - explore every tab in your BIOS, and generally you will find it.

Good Luck!

Nothing to see here ;)

It is an iGPU - it comes bundled with the AMD A10-8700P APU that the OP has got.

oh stupid me

if he was referring to increasing the VRAM limit for the iGPU, then yes depending on the board and BIOS

you can set up to 2GB for VRAM use

but if he is referring to improve GPU power, then he kinda stuck with the iGPU

Can't Radeon iGPUs be overclocked? I've OCed my Intel Pentium's iGPU from 1050MHz. to 1250MHz, and I do see a couple more FPS in easy-going games like NFSMW 2005!

yes you can OC if your thermal limit is not yet reached

this is still a high wattage CPU when you compare to Intel's Skylake CPU

35W vs 15W

Well, I do have a laptop cooler. BTW this isnt my only PC, this is my portable rig. My home rig is a custom built PC. Would adding any ram add more GPU RAM/VRAM?

Your iGPU's VRAM can be increased, even without adding more system RAM, which has no effect. But you must do it manually, there is no other way. But if it is not possible through the BIOS, I think it is possible through various utilities.

Well, with what utilities?

I'm currently looking into it.

By the way, a BIOS option may exist inside Advanced -> Chipset Configuration -> Southbridge -> VGA Frame Buffer. Don't look for the exact phrases mentioned before, but you'll definitely come across 'Chipset', 'Southbridge', etc.
