Do you have anyone famous in your school/college/university?

One of the Maths teachers in my school is one of the lead developers for GeoGebra, which is a widely used piece of maths software in schools and colleges.

If you want to see one of his talks, here is a link:

Wes Craven (writer / director of A Nightmare on Elm Street, Scream series, etc) is probably one of the more recognizable names associated with my university. He was a Humanities professor there in the 1960s. One of his inspirations for Nightmare on Elm Street was actually a student film made by some of his students that parodied contemporary horror films, and was filmed along Elm Street in Potsdam NY. The town in the film is actually called "Madstop," Potsdam spelled backward.

Also, being a D1 hockey school, we've had several professional hockey players; including a few Stanley Cup champions. I think two of the founding members of Blue Oyster Cult also went to my school as well.
