MSI is better, Twin Frozr is fantastic, and in my opinion looks cooler.

I'd have to go with EVGA. I love the ACX+ 2.0 cooling :)

Really stuck between these two brands for my GPU. I'm getting a 980ti but I'm not sure which one ont h EVGA side, and well msi's twin frozer V is the only one I look at because of its price. Recommendations?

the equivalent GPU to the MSI gaming 6G on EVGA's line up would be the EVGA FTW...if you are looking at a ACX2.0, SC or SSC card...those models are inferior to the MSI model.

BUT if you're looking at the classified or kingpin from EVGA those models are SUPERIOR to the Gaming 6G.

They are all good cards, my recommendation would be depending on prices...like i said the FTW card is roughly the equivalent to the gaming 6G, from there go with what you think will look best in your system or go based on prices. (MSI is amazing).

EVGA usually has the best cooling for Nvidia cards. MSI has a solid cooling solution that's not AS good, but it looks 20x better in a themed build.

actually the twinfrozr 5 cooler according to the many reviews i've seen is superior to the ACX2.0 cooler from EVGA...it's quieter and run a bit cooler as well. Better bearing in the fans too.

EVGA

  • better customer service
  • 90 protection from a better card being released for free (if Pascal launches you can use the full purchase price to trade up)
  • More models to choose from, better Hybrid option.

MSI

  • Better looking (subjective)
  • Better value on average
  • Better base cooler
  • custom PCBs

If anyone asks you never saw me.
