13643 WOOT!

Aiming for 14000 right now! :)

-snip-

How do you aim for more frames?

At 1440p I got 10.4 with OC and 10.3 without OC (GPU)

How do you set the resolution?

you can't set a resolution it does not work like that and you aim for more frames by OVERCLOCKING :)

yeah but its not running at 2560x1440...i think it's downsampled from 2160x1080 or something like that...

Wouldn't make sense for there to be a 1080 benchmark when the Oculus rift is 2k.

wow...how far have you gone in your research? ask google:

https://www.google.ca/?gws_rd=ssl#q=oculus+rift+resolution

Resolution 2160x1200 (1080x1200 per eye)

That's the DK2, not the final product.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oculus_Rift

The Rift uses an OLED panel for each eye, each having a resolution of 1080×1200. These panels have a refresh rate of 90 Hz and globally refresh

Fuck me, I was wrong.

:) we all have been wrong at least once!

and you were not wrong it's indeed 2160x1200

or 1080x1200 per eye...i was wrong :P

the window in the VR test is quite small though so i assume it's 2160x1200 with a massive downscaling factor...like 0.2x or something.

Eeehhh, not like I was even planning on getting into VR anytime soon... Waiting for gen 2 or gen 3... And for the hardware to actually be capable of it without needing multiple GPUs, but for that, Nvidia and AMD need to get off their butts and give us more than the usual "10~15% performances increase" with each new generation...

My result with a 7970 Ghz, stock :

CPU: AMD Ryzen 3700x / GPU: Asus Radeon RX 6750XT OC 12GB / RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8GB DDR4-3200
MOBO: MSI B450m Gaming Plus / NVME: Corsair MP510 240GB / Case: TT Core v21 / PSU: Seasonic 750W / OS: Win 10 Pro

Indeed OC is FUN when it comes to this test... Finally hit the limit of my FX 8320 when paired with the R9 295x2....

So what did it take to get my result?

Well... +7% OC to the GPU Core, 1500 on memory, power limit +30%

FX 8320 at 4.62GHz

8GB DDR3 at 2400MHz

Window fully open, Sidepanels are OFF (PC sits right under my window), outside air temp -> around -2C

and the scores :P

Jr0VCW3.png

and for funsies... Firestrike + Cinebench R15

qPdxBhA.png

Im done trying to push my FX8320 any further. NOR am i going to melt my R9 295x2.... tomorrow, ill start putting the i7 4790k back into my rig. Lets see how i score then :P

Well this makes scene. I have two 980ti. I had to overclock them and got a perfect score.

steamvr_result_10.8.png

your score is too low. See my score in the post above...

2x 290x + FX 8320, even when OCd, should not be THIS close to a 5820k + 2x 980TI

have you added -multigpu to the launch command in steam? If not, SLI will not work with this test. Although some say SLI doesnt work at all with this test, even with -multigpu added....
