post issues after minor upgrades - Whats going on???

having some issues with the ole pc

Was performing some routine upgrades including adding an ssd, some more ram, and second gpu for crossfire i have had lying around

Inserted ram and wouldnt post, so removed added ram and posted and booted into windows fine, so left ram out and added in second gpu and would post but not boot into windows, ssd is being detected no probs so left that in. ram is crucial ddr3 and new gpu exact same make and model as existing gpu.

Motherboard bios has never been updated so wandering if a new install of windows and reflash of bios would help out, seeing as bios updates might help out, even just for firmware and stability fixes seeing as its in original state all those years ago from the manufacturer.

Any ideas will be helpful

cheers gang/guys/peeps
