Best $1100 Aud for gaming

Hey, I need a pc witch can run games at 1440p for the budget listed above. I would also like it in a red and black colour scheme, and I am gonna be doing quite a lot of editing so I need a beefy cpu. Benchmarks are greatly accepted. Cheers

Quiet hard ... due to fact AUS prices is really shit. You might able build one without GPU and use for editing and buy GPU later for gaming.

Ive done one for $1000 but it wasn't very good, not to mention it included monitor and Windows. So do you have any ideas?

That's asking alot for your budget imo. Maybe double that as I think a CPU, mobo and Gpu would already up eat that budget.

Main PC CPU: 7700K, MOBO: Asus Strix, GPU: Aorus Extreme 3080, PSU: EVGA Supernova G2 750, RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB Storage: 970 Evo 1tb

Lounge PC CPU: 4790K MOBO: Asus Hero VII GPU: EVGA 3060 Ti PSU: Corsair RM650 RAM: Kingston HyperX 16gb Storage: 970 Evo 1TB

Get Windows 10 from Kinguin. Been doing it for years now. Paul of Paul's Hardware also did a video on it not too long ago.

The E3-1231 v3 is a really beefy CPU, it's an i7-4770 without iGPU. Unfortunately the build doesn't include a monitor and a SSD. So, oh well.

Edit: Since you also want to game in 1440p I'll have to agree with the others. It simply isn't possible with this kind of a budget.

I can but the fact a good CPU cost around 500 dollars and adding a good GPU which is another ~500 that why i said budget is quite tight for a good 1440p gaming machine and video editing. 1500-2000 would be much better for your needs.

Good luck doing that at that budget. I mean, a 1440p monitor + R9 390 is already more than half your budget.

Good build but for gaming at 1440p that 960 going to suffer in newer games, but should be alright for light games such as csgo/tf2/lol

Remember a editing cpu and that already over the budget.

Well, you can use a 4460 for editing, but it wouldn't nearly be as fast as a 1231v3

Yes true so xenon would be hist best beat. A 390 or 970 would be better but 380 would suit 1080p pretty well and might able to fit into his budget.

I could use this but I will take out the cpu cooler and put it towards a better gpu. Any ideas for the gpu?

This is really a tough one. Those 30 bucks aren't gonna do a whole lot for you. Normally I'd tell you to get a R9 380X instead, but since I have read this thread and these benchmarks I really don't have anything to recommend.
