A company called future motion had US Marshalls storm the ces booth of Chinese company Changzhou first because they both make one wheeled "hoverboards" and they claim copyright infringement. But when Changzhou got ready to fight back in court future motion changed their minds and said the costs are not worth the benefits but Changzhou is not going to let it go.

In my opinion I don't know whether or not Changzhou did infringe on patents but either way having US Marshalls storm the booth was the wrong thing to do and their actions make future motion seem really suspicious.

it sucks that small companies have to back down when lawsuits come into play. Pretty sure they wouldn't be able to afford fighting it out in court so that's why the resorted to the restraining order tactic. If the other company did infringe on patents or not, who knows?

btw I don't think you can call it swatting if it was done legally. They got a restraining order and called the law man telling them that company is breaking it. Swatting is when people lie and get the cops to raid you for fake reasons.

Does FM even realize that without the backers from Kick Starter, they probably won't even be here today, and they think they're fully loaded. Too bad they failed to realized they're not. No wonder they back down when ChangZhou decided to fight back. Before you start something like this, make sure you have lots of $$$$$ to play with.

Can't seem to find any financial info on FM, as for ChangZhou, not sure if the info are accurate, but it's the only info I manage to find.

Established in 2011, with 11-50 employees and a total annual revenue of $1 million ot $2.5 million USD.
