Hi, my friend needs a 500$ build, I'll be piecing together a list for him, but it'd be helpful if more people with different outlooks could help me out, so I can have multiple lists and the least amount of bias possible.

If you can post a 500$ build list for it pls.

He'll be playing league/ a few other games maybe call of duty bf4.   Preferably a low end gpu like 7750/7770 would be good, maybe even a 6xxx series or 600 series card if you can find it for cheap add it in pls.

Thanks guys

To be honest, a pc worth 500 usd and he wants to play next-gen games like BF4 isn't that realistic :/ (at least not with high settings)

Also, what parts does he have? Like monitor, keyboard and mouse. We need that info bro :)

But also, this isn't that bad: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O6olutcuXHc ;D

he has a mouse/kb I'm going to send him a monitor, and we're not talking high settings, low/medium is perfectly fine.

Also if you haven't seen, bf4's req's aren't all that much compared to bf3's, basically just a generation newer for "recommended" settings

Dont use that vid it's from march get this instead :

CPU:  AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor  ($117.98 @ Outlet PC)
Motherboard:  MSI 970A-G43 ATX AM3+ Motherboard  ($62.23 @ Outlet PC)
Memory:  Kingston Black 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory  ($54.99 @ Newegg)
Storage:  Sandisk ReadyCache 32GB 2.5" Solid State Disk  ($39.99 @ Amazon)
Video Card:  MSI Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition 1GB Video Card  ($69.99 @ Newegg)
Case:  Corsair 200R ATX Mid Tower Case  ($39.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $535.12
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)
(Generated by PCPartPicker 2013-09-10 10:52 EDT-0400)

Use the small 32GB as a cash with the included software for a much better PC performance without much cost. I've chosen the 6300 and a little cheaper GFX card than is actually possible in this price cat. for future GFX upgrades ;). If he wants a DVD burner just get the cheapest Lite-On or Asus one you can find on pcpartpicker wich has the 5 stars rating.

If he really  wants to stay under the 500 Dollars just lower the PSU wattage to 500 or 430 ( Corsair 430CX - 500 )

you can get 6300 and 7850 for the money

EDIT: For 30 bucks more you get monster:

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1C9ow

Case: discounted, very good case ( -20$ )

6300

7870 Ghz

The mobo is overclocking, put a cooler on it, overclock the cpu when you feel like it.

And yes, mobo had HUGE 25$ discount.

With 7870 you can play pretty much on ultra settings.
