So I really want to get a new mechanical keyboard and the one which I have been looking at is the G.Skill Ripjaws KM780 RGB with brown switches.

The problem with this is that I live in Sweden and the keyboard is not available here so my question is if I can get a German keyboard (same key layout) and then buy Swedish WASD keycaps or something so that I will be able to use it well.

Would this work and would this be worth it? Please elaborate if you think it wouldn't be worth it.

You mean just change keycaps on a mechanical keyboard? Sure, why not. Just make sure they're made for the same switch type and you should be good to go.

Tip to those that are new on LTT forum- quote a post so that the person you are quoting gets a notification, otherwise they'll have no idea that you did. You can also use a tag such as @Ryoutarou97 (replace my username with anyone's. You should get a dropdown after you type the "@")to send a notification, but quoting is preferable.

Feel free to PM me about absolutely anything be it tech, math, literature, etc. I'll try my best to help. I'm currently looking for a cheap used build for around $25 to set up as a home server if anyone is selling.

If you are a native speaker please use proper English if you can. Punctuation, capitalization, and spelling are as important to making your message readable as proper night theme formatting is.

My build is fully operational, but won't be posted until after I get a GPU in it and the case arted up.

A keycap set typically costs about USD 20 to 30 so that's like 170 to 250 SEK. They can also come with all sorts of other benefits like cool looks, more durable materials/printing, etc. I have a custom keycap set on my Ducky Zero just for the aesthetics, so I'd say find one you like and go for it.

id say just go for an other mechanical keyboard if you can pass on  KM780  since it becomes cheaper i guess and more worth it in my eyes

As someone who has Danish friends, don't you have more keys than a typical qwerty keyboard or is some of the backets/punctuation/whatever moved to a different place?

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

Won't be surprised as I never use the shift key when typing (yes I'm one of these people who double taps the caps lock) and the only time I use it is playing video games where WASD forces my pinky to rest on the left half of the shift key anyway.
