Hello Linustechtips forum Guys ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I have a little "problem" with my MSI GtX 960 Gaming 4G

Usually when i play no gaming, no 3D Applications or something like that, my GPU Temp. was 33° without Fans spinning, even with my High Overclock.

But now it sits at 55°/56° at idling, and i dont know why.

Here is my Overclock : 6ab10c0e1b.jpg

i hope someone here knows how i can fix it, peace out guys and have a good day ! :D

Are there any processes running in the background that may be using your GPU?

Do you have something like shadowplay running in the background?  My gpu idles about 46 or so when I have that turned on.

edit: just saw your fan speed.  0.  If your card turns the fans off while its idle, it's going to run a little hotter.  I wouldn't worry about it unless the temps get real high while its in use.  If it bothers you just set a custom fan curve where they never shut off.

@givegomezthegun i have it in the background, but it was never a problem, even with 0 at idle it was only 33°, it was at 33° before with the exact same settings

@Hackentosher it is unchecked

@Atmos there is no dust on it

@Majestic i only have 1 1080p monitor.

It was 33° at idle with the exact same settings i have right now.

your making the card run passive cooling bruh, turn up them fans and make it chilly again, also thats an impressive overclock for not moving the voltage slider :D

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)
