don't know how to, I will just look it up, thank you though.

also, it said something about how my SSD was my "main partition" while my HDD is "unallocated", any idea what that means and if I can make it so stuff will download to my HDD, or at least ask which one to download to?

Yes, that's why I wanted the screenshot. Right click on that "Unallocated Space" on the HDD and choose "New Simple Volume" and follow the steps.

This is how you then set your HDD to be the default storage for your Downloads (you can do the same for documents, pictures, videos, etc):

everything I am downloading is going to my 250gb SSD, when I look in local files, I only see the one storage option even though I have a 1tb HDD installed. I am on windows 10, can anyone help?

Do you have sata power run to the HDD, can you bring it up on another computer? Do you have a sata cable run to the mobo? Can you hear it (the hard drive) spinning when it's turned on?

Move the downloaded stuff to your hard drive.

Clear the cache with something like AVG Cleaner or disk cleanup.

EDIT: Sorry, didn't read the entire question.

Try reconnecting the drive and if that doesn't work, it may be worth contacting the manufacturer or the builder of your computer.

Yes you can but the game will stop downloading. If downloading from Steam, when you reopen Steam it will just keep downloading.

NTFS = NT (Windows) File System

Disk Management - go to your start menu and search 'create or format hard disk partitions'

idk

okay, I just found the create/format hard disk partitions, and saw both my SSD (230gb) and my HDD (900GB) on the left, both said "basic" and "online" below them. What do I do? do I still need to disconnect and reconnect my HDD manually?

No, since you can see your HDD all you need to do is mount it then format it.
