Antivirus/ Malware Questions.

Go to solution Solved by z123killer,

1. Yes

2. It is good, doesn't give malware but gets rid of it

3. Not required: Ad-Block, Firewall, all sorts of updates,

4. I don't know but you can try virustotal

I don't really have a intro other than i just built a PC, soo I'm just going to ask.

1. Do i need a antivirus if i have an antimalware?

2. Is malwarebytes Okay? (i mean this in both does it give viruses, and also if it gets rid of malware good).

3. Any other ways of protecting a new PC?

4. how do i scan something before i download it?

Any help is appreciated.

its a piece of software, it does not care about your personal files

Does your coffee mug care about your personal files? No, it does not.

and yes malwarebytes can give you a virus so I would suggest turning off auto updates until this issue has been fixed:

You get my point.

Oh okay, well is it okay to just not use any "anti" stuff right now? i don't plan on clicking on ads, just downloading steam, and playing games. maybe go on youtube or twitch. Will the protection software be needed right now?

no its not ok

there are plenty of things that can get a virus on your PC without you clicking anything

just download malwarebytes and VGA/avast

they are all free

then you dont need to worry about anything
