Get an HDD first, save up a bit, then grab yourself an SSD. HDD's are cheaper and have a better GB/$ ratio, but are slower, while SSD's are much quicker but have a higher GB/$ ratio.

i would get the SSD first and add the HDD later because if you get the HDD first and install windows on it, then you will need to reinstall windows on the SSD once you buy that which is a lot more work than just plugging a HDD in

you should get at least a 250GB SSD from samsung or crucial, 120GB isnt really enough for anything these days IMO

In games, storage has no effect(barring load times) on a game so you may as well save the money and get a hdd

I would go use the hard drive and save up for the graphics card, and then get an SSD later.

its harder to switch everything around if you get the HDD first, the SSD is the better choice, plus he can puta few games on it and then when hes ready get an HDD which will be cheaper.

It'll load a bit faster than the normal HDD. But, it's better to have all your games and applications installed on a HDD rather than an SSD.

It depends on your budget, If you can afford an SDD with more than 120GB of storage, then you'll be fine.

$300 for everything including monitor and keyboard and mouse? What games do you plan on playing?

If you mean fps,  then no,  you would get yhe exact same performance.  However,  loading times will be improved.

AMD Ryzen R7 1700 (3.8ghz) w/ NH-D14, EVGA RTX 2080 XC (stock), 4*4GB DDR4 3000MT/s RAM, Gigabyte AB350-Gaming-3 MB, CX750M PSU, 1.5TB SDD + 7TB HDD, Phanteks enthoo pro case
