Samsung 950 Pro m.2 SSD

Warchylde

So I recently picked  up a Samsung 950 pro m.2 256gb SSD and I'm curious if it would be worth migrating my OS to it, or simply using it for OBS file output/video editing which is what I'm using it for now. The drive my OS is currently on is a Samsung Evo SSD.

Oh sorry I guess I should have thought about that. By migrate I meant a fresh OS install on the 950 :P. I've heard some bad things about the migration tool from samsung.

Would it be worth it though to use the EVO for recording/editing and the 950 for the OS? Or would the difference even be noticeable?

Its a typo lol sorry I never really noticed it. Its a 5820k.

I noitce huge differences if I put games on the 950 since it does have upwards of 2200 MBS seq read speed. I'm just not 100% sure if putting the OS on it will make a huge difference other than boot time and system speed.

I do recommend the M.2 though, its insanely fast and I've tested a few games on it and the load screens are pretty much non existent.
