How am I meant to defeat Alduin on Skyrim? POTENTIAL SPOILER

Hi,

 

I've been playing Skyrim a lot more and I need to defeat Alduin now.

 

I am level 18 and use an Ebony Dagger in my left hand and a Steel Sword of Burning in my right.

 

Please help, I'm swearing my ass off and everyone around me is like WTF?

Um, your supposed to learn the Dragonrend shout VIA greybeards and story line.

Yeah, I know the Dragonrend shout. 

 

EDIT: You can't start defeating Alduin without the Dragonrend Shout anyway.

Which instance are you talking about defeating Alduin? When your with parthaax (Spelled that wrong most likely, the good dragon that's the greybeards master), or when your in nord heaven?

I'm talking about defeating Alduin with Paarthanax on the top of the mountain.

Thanks, will do. I will also try and get the Dragon's Bane next to Alduin's wall after talking with some friends this morning.

lvl 18?!  Is it even possible to get to that point in the game at that level?  I know I tend to stop and smell the snowberries, but..I don't think I've ever even met the greybeards before lvl40+

Definitely possible, although you'd kind of have to rush the main story missions to do it. I'm with you, I never got very far in it until level 30 or 40. The story is by far the least interesting part of that game for me.

That said, you can meet the Greybeards very early if you don't ignore the story—only a few quests after you first arrive in Whiterun. You kill a dragon for Jarl Balgruuf, everyone's stoked that you absorbed its soul, and then the Jarl tells you to go meet the Greybeards.

I've defeated Alduin.

 

STOP READING NOW IF YOU DON'T WANT SPOILERS.

 

It really helped to get the Dragonsbane from the room next to Alduin's Wall.

 

If you're having trouble, do that.

 

And it is possible to defeat Alduin at lvl 18, I've done it.

I've been doing a lot of the Thieve's Guild quests but my friend who's finished the game said to not do the quest I'm on until I'm like lvl 25-30.

Hmmm...i think i was around level 50 when i stood before him. I do tons of stuff before i even think about ending the mainquest in a TES Game.

what? im lvl 18 and my next main quest is trapping alduin in the castle (some town the the left of the main town of the stormcloaks ,idk)
