144hz vs 1440p vs G sync

aslan501

So I recently got a gtx 970 and decided it is time to get a better monitor than my Samsung SyncMaster monitor thing that was a very decent 1080p 60hz while I got into gaming and building computers but I want something a bit better my budget is around $400 but less is always better

I don't know what kind I should get

some games I play are csgo, gta V, and some others

EDIT - I forgot about ultra wide

personally, i would go g-sync, as the 970 will be able to deliver enjoyable framerates with variable refresh

If you have an nvidia card I would say G-Sync first, 1440p second, 144hz third in your priority. Unfortunately I don't think you're going to find a new G-Sync monitor for $400 or less. I would save up and try and get the Swift or swift 2. You might be able to get a used swift for around $400.

i love ultrawide

I would suggest a 2560x1080 panel, as the 970 can get great framerates.

I would go for an lg ultrawide one

Yeah I saw that one, but I've never used an AOC monitor I couldn't comment on it's quality.
