Hello guys,so i'm just thinking should i go for 970 or r9 390 " future proof " thingy tells me i should go for r9 390.. but then again,i will be playing only at 1080p.i guess 970 should be fine,less power consumption , less heat :)

 

this all comes in for 1100€ where i live. I just dropped all parts in partpicker,dont mind the prices xD, i will be planing to overclock cpu at some point B| , i thing everything is okay with this build? Just want opinions whether i should change anything ? Have a nice day ! ^_^

If you like Nvidia's features then go with that but if you want a smooth 1440p experience go with R9 390 but for me I like Nvidia better

stick with the 390, better performance, more than double the vram, same price. 

 

i see no issues with anything else really.

overall, looks ok. :) PSU maybe a bit overkill for a single card, but more is always better than less

I would go 2x8gb now rather than buy 2x4gb and replace them later with 2x 8gb

the 390 only pulls just over 300w at load, meaning even for a 390 + i5 you could get away with a  good quality 500w

Or this, 1x8gb now and another 8gb stick later, rather than waste 2x4gb. Where 16gb isn't necessary, its quickly becoming the minimum

for some reason,evga PSU's are hella expensive here where i live,it costs 160  and the one that picked - 115  , i have some other options for PSU such as - 

 

 

PSU Corsair RMx Series RM650x 650W, 80 PLUS Gold, Fully modular, 135mm     110euros

 

PSU Seasonic M12II-EVO620 620W 80 Plus Bronze retail          90euros

 

will have to take a look at those components that you changed, hmm why asus and not evga gpu ?

-RM650 or Seasonic 620 will do great 

-EVGA unfortunately don't make AMD cards, but the Strix with it's MASSIVE triple fan and two 10mm heatpipes will do great, Point is it's better than the 970, and this is coming from and nvidia mejor fanboy
