1 Desktop, 1 Ultrabook, 1 GPU

DaltonM

So I was thinking about getting a laptop with a thunderbolt port, and using an external GPU, but then I thought what if I got a barebones PC, with TB compatibility, slapped an i7 in it and used an external GPU for that too?

So my plan would be to use my GPU alternating between desktop and laptop, that way I can have a super small, low profile case, and have an ultrabook that can game if I want it to.

What do you guys think? Is this genius and I am the first to think of it? Or is there a reason this doesn't work?
