Sound card Noob question

Go to solution Solved by defunkt,

24 bit 192KHz for sure. Though most music and movies etc.. Are in 44.1KHz 16bit. But windows sounds and most games will be at what you set it to.

Hi, I recently got a sound card (Asus Xonar Phoebus) and i would just like to know how to configure this part:(in picture)

should I put the Sample Rate and Bit Rate to the Highest? or just keep it this way?

Most Music (originating from CDs) is 44.1kHz

Most Movies (originatingfrom DVDs, Blu-Rays) are 48kHz (or multiples of that)
