You don't really need 16gb of RAM for gaming, with 8 it's just fine

For all you know, he could have a rendering hobby. Or maybe he already has all the games he want´s for now, and decided to get more ram with the money. Either way, more ram doesn´t hurt.

I disagree when i had 8gb ram other programs i ran along side my games would run slowly. Now I have 16gb it runs flawlessly

It’s funny because I’m going to spend most my time playing youtube videos and doing homework. Alls games I play is Starcraft 2. I’m going to be getting a RC flight sim, but thats about it. I may look into other PC racing games, but really, I just play Starcraft.

What's the difference between GS, GX, and G2?

NEX is G1. FSP based, very sub par. G2 is superflower oem, stellar. GS is a seasonic oem. The one it´s based off isn´t their best, but it´s still quite good. GX I don´t have any info on.
