Help with building pc gamer

bredao

Hi guys, I'm new here.

I'll try to build my pc gamer but I have some doubt about it. First of all, which processor is better for gaming: I5 4440 or FX 8350?

What do you guys think about i3 6 generation? Is it good for gaming or not ?

If I go with FX I will build with:

FX 8350

gtx 960 4gb gigabyte windforce

Rhino Gamer PCYES

SSD 240gb Evo

hiper x fury 2x4gb 1333mhz

motherboard: I don't know yet

If i go with Intel, I will build with:

I5 4440

gtx 960 4gb gigabyte windforce

Rhino Gamer PCYES

SSD 240gb Evo

hiper x fury 2x4gb 1333mhz

gigabyte ga-b85-d3ph rev. 1.1

PS: I will not upgrade it in 3 years

Thanks and sorry about my english.

Ryzen 5 5600x -- 2x8 Kingston Hyperx fury 8gb 2133mhz/2400Mhz -- Sandisk SSD Ultra II 120gb/240gb -- PSU EVGA 600b B1 -- Case Cougar Gemini S -- Mobo ASROCK B450M Steel Legend -- GTX 1060 6GB Galaxy

Well, with an i7, GTX 1080, Full tower and flashy lights, it can obviously only be for one thing:

Hey there welcome to the forum.

You will want to go for the i5 4440 no doubt . Since skylake has came out you can probably can find a good deal for one of those.\

You can also go skylake i5 but thats a bit more expensive.

For gaming the i5 just destroys anything AMD .

As far as the GPU if you are willing to look for something used something like a 280x or a 290 are simply way better than the 960.

The gtx 960 is a pretty underwhelming card and I would not recommend it.

XFX or Powercolor as they tend to be the cheapest ones for the 380 but the coolers on the cards are still good.

The I5 is better because games like fewer, more powerful cores more than many less powerful cores.

The 380x is good, but it´s on debate whether it´s worth the extra cash from a 380. Everything else is set about your build, assuming you have a decent psu already.

@Starelementpoke I will buy EVGA 600b for this build because of r9 vga. In Brazil, 380x cost R$ 1.300,00 and 380 cost R$ 1.150,00 to R$ 1.400,00.

For the price I assume your paying for it, it should handle your system fine. Just make upgrading the PSU a priority. It´s not bad, but

it´s not great either.

Since the board supports xfire, yeah it should handle it just fine. Just be aware, since the 4440 only supports up to 1x16 3.0, you´ll use up all the lanes on the xfire. So no m.2 or pci ssds.

No, the 600b will be fine. As for the 2nd part, as the cpu itself only can use 1x16 pci lanes in total, it´ll split that to x8 speeds for 2 cards so you can xfire. The lanes will work just fine.

Assuming your willing to turn settings down a bit once a while, yes, it should be more than capable for 3 years.
