Cloud II 48000hz issue

lilwic

So i've noticed that when i plug in my Cloud IIs through the USB it comes with it only goes up to 48000hz, however when i just plug it in straight through a 3.5mm audio jack it is able to go up to 192000hz. Is there any way i can plug it into the USB it comes with and have it go up to 192000hz? When i plug it in straight through the 3.5mm it only uses mic or headset (depending on if i plug it into the pink or green)

no because USB uses the integrated sound card, not your onboard audio

clearly the integrated sound card does not support 192kHz

not that it matters anyway because you cant tell the difference

You should leave it at 44.1kHz unless you have 192kHz music.

I just want my mic to be 192khz cause right now it sounds like shit.

And changing the sample rate will help?

My old X12's were at 24bit, 192khz and the cloud 2 is at 16bit 41000 hz. So I suppose, (I don't exactly know that much about sound)

So why not plug the mic into your motherboard audio if it sounds better?

the problem is i use the Cloud II mic, which is a detachable mic. So i CAN just plug the mic itself into the motherboard but you see the problem with that. If i just plug the mic into my headphones then it only uses the mic or the headphones cause the Cloud II's only have one 3.5 when detached from the USB adapter.

So why not get a splitter?

Yeah, I guess that would work. Well okay, thanks.

Don't guess, you know. Splitter plus extension, or just don't use the dingle dongle.
