Skylake Build Or Haswell ?

I'd definitely go with future proof setup and that is Skylake. If you were upgrading then haswell would be a good option for sure for lower prices and even sometimes better preferences. Going with Skylake now gives you an option to update in the future and have DDR4 now instead of 1-2 years in the future with your next build.

Other then that with the performance and value bang for buck I wouldn't know. :)

Haswell is still fine, it depends on $$$

 

I for example got the 6700K because in australia its the exact same price as the 4790K so why not,

gez z170 build so you can overclock locked processor.

 

you know, after few years, just overclock. processor tech is slowing down anyway it might last you same as sandy bridge is today.
