I am currently reinstalling the game, last time I played it it was still in beta (0.7~)

I haven't even bothered to go through the tutorial or formally learn how to play yet. I just enjoy strapping the Mk0 cockpit to the biggest solid rocket booster I can, throwing some wings on it and aiming for the stars

I'm waiting for 1.1 at this point. KSP 1.0.5 is too unpredictable for my tastes.

Jeez this game is so much more difficult compared to what it used to be! I could even fly to eeloo and do other crazy stuff, now I can't even come back from the orbit safely

100 hours into the game (early access) and there's stil so much to do. And the KAX mod is amazing, I built simple versions of a chinook and an osprey.

I just noticed that flying a plane in the new version is impossible.

 

Ive tried like 5 different designs, every single one of them tends to turn left as soon as I do anything. No clue why. They broke my favourite game

 

Now its ridiculously difficult and flying planes doesn't work. I'm mad.

It works fine.  There's a few things that are important - is your issue one of them?

• Make sure it actually has a useful control surface for each of the three rotational axis
• make sure it is symmetrical
• make sure the centre of lift is very near the centre of gravity
• make sure you have an SAS unit and that it is turned on
• mind how your wheels are attached.  Wheels at odd angles or not well attached to a rigid surface can cause wobbling down the runway and makes it impossible to take off

There'e probably a lot more but that's all I remember for now

All checked except sas - didnt unlock any reaction wheels yet but it should still be flyable without them.

without wheels, yes, but it will control the control surfaces too.  Without that you are literally flying manually, which like the B2, is almost impossible

Used parts with SAS and its still impossible to take off, my vehicles just turn randomly on their own, tumble and explode. 

Everything is 100% symetrical and I am not pressing anything accidentally, lol

is it turned on?

Also, you don't appear to have any vertical stabilizer.  You need a control surface that can do yaw

Also, I'm not sure those wheels are the best.  They could be to blame, but check the other things first

Tried vehicles with vertical stabilizers

Tried the other set of wheels

Same issue every time, vehicle just turning on its own

strange... well, all I can say is I haven't had that issue.  I don't think it's a physics engine problem.

I don't know whats wrong with my game

 

I was never a plane guy but I really needed to do some contracts that require planes.

I guess I'll just use cheats to get more money and avoid SPH for ever

try playing in sandbox mode with unlimited money etc to get a feel for what works and what doesn't with no restrictions.  Then you'll be better under a budget with limited parts

I just launched my plane with a rocket and it flies just fine... Its only the taking off part that's the problem.

 

Thing is, I got like few 100's of hours on this game, I know how to make a plane work... There's clearly something wrong with my game/save. I will try it on my laptop and see what happens.

I can´t believe more people play this genius game! I´m an engineering student and dam son best part for me is working out all the physics and designing the craft, anybody want to fly my missions for me?

I'm in engineering too and for me the best part is getting a break from all the calculations and just throwing some stuff together to see what happens

That's basically how I play the game
