Managing/ backup Data (for Video Production)

Hi there,

I'm looking for a software that helps me thinks less about backups. I'm a video

producer and have a lot of external HDDs and data transfer,

My disk setupt:

  • 5 x 2 TB external HHDs
  • 12 TB internal RAID 0 (workhorse)
  • 256GB SSD scratch disk
  • 2 x 3 TB backup drives
  • thinking about buying two 4TB drives, which I take home for backups

What I need:

  • A software that clones the data: e.g. when I plug in HDD_5 i after a shoot will automatically backup the files to my RAID and the 3 TB backup drive (--> data cloner?)
  • A software the recognizes the changed files on e.g. my RAID and backs it up
  • A software that does backup in a certain time period of the new/changed files e.g. from my scratch disk
  • A software that is very easy and logical to use and setup!
  • Maybe a softwarer that works both on Mac and PC (I have a windows workstation and a Macbook in the field)
  • freeware if theres anything good otherwise not more than 30$

Thanks for your tips.

Cheers

Thanks for the tip. Though, I'd prefer and easier more intuitive option.
