Forum icon unread/read issue

With all these new subforums and sub-subforums means that icons for parent subforum is acting bit weird. Marking parent subforum read will mark whole icon read. It will remain marked as read even when new topics and posts are posted in sub-subforums. I kinda understand logic since you can post stuff in parent subforum too. But it looks bit off when you only have text for sub-subforums.

Piggybacking on this, I have noticed some general read/unread issues with my notifications, as I use the full page "view all notifications" as a bookmark to get to the site quickly.

I think some of the issues are to do with caching, but there's probably more to it than that. I'll look into it later.
