980 to for future proof build

Guys I just wonder if it's worth to buy gtx 980 ti on my 1080p monitor to get high frame rate in the future.

Do you think it's worth it?

I would wait for the next line of GPUs that are aimed at higher than 1080p and higher refresh rates. 

 

You can basically play all the games you want now, but not on super ultra solid 60 FPS. 

 

If future proof is what you're worried about, now is the worst time to get a GPU. If they weren't changing the nanometer process and possibly introducing 2 new times of VRAM, I would say go for the 980ti. 

 

But every few years they make something worth waiting for and this is one of those years.

Don't as you will probably not need more performance, rather the new features built into the newer gpu's that no matter how fast of a gpu you get toady you won't have today.
