So for some reason my GTX 780 refuses to clock up to what I have the OC set to.

Even when doing something not that demanding I can't maintain 60 FPS, hovers around 57ish.

The worst part is when something demanding happens and it decides to just freeze up for like an 8th of a second.

When I record with OBS it will drop it down to like high 20s and the the clock speed doesn't increase or anything, just stay at like 600 MHz. Same situation with above scenario with demanding scenes etc.

Specs:

4770k

16GB 1866 RAM

ASUS GTX 780

Here's a pic of current OC settings (Just in case I fucked up my overclock I tested it on stock settings, it still happens).

I have no idea what's causing it. It might be the drivers (again), but I figured I would post here first in case that's not it so I might have some suggestions by the time I've reinstalled etc.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Restart the PC. That might be the issue.

My 760 sometimes locks up at 600 Mhz, only different drivers help. Restarting fixes it for a while, but then it does the same thing again.

IDK if I should reinstall or just update by 1. Last time I update my drivers (a month or 2 ago) it destroyed my performance in most games.

I did try that but it doesn't really fix it for me.

only runs at about 730 MHz (my OC is still 1136 MHz)

Sounds like it might just be a driver issue then. Uninstall with DDU and reinstall.

If your driver decreased your performance in games, you should update because it could be a bug and I think they should have fixed it now. If you update you should get a performance boost.

In my experience Nvidia has a tendency to release buggy drivers :P

Yeah I am going to.
