Seriously, why that company (Nvidia) want to making this????

they don't have any other graphics cards that can be cut down to PCIe x4 without issues?

I would actually see myself spending $30 for a very low end GPU to use in a HTPC or in a pure office machine.

a 710 would quite happily run four monitors at 1080p, a 620 did with relative ease. Of course draw call ceiling is rather low but its not aimed at those people. 

 

A lot of offices will quite happily buy this(6450 is the most popular low end currently) ) for employees needing two monitors instead of splashing out on a new pc.

The low end gpu rant doesn't include these - 30$ (soon to be cheaper) are acceptable when you need a gpu for a machine that doesn't have an integrated one, such as a xeon based workstation/server/whatever that doesn't need gpu acceleration but does need video output. Linus has a problem  with 70$ graphics cards that are 1/5th the speed of 100$ ones.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

There are a lot of people comparing low end cards with integrated GPUs, but what they forget is that they're comparing them with the most recent Broadwell and Skylake integrated GPUs.

 

But, what about people who have old computers with 5 or 6 year old integrated GPUs, and who have limited budgets because, maybe they live in poor countries.

 

They're not going to buy the newest generation CPUs and motherboards just so that they can have better integrated graphics. Of course they will buy low end cards instead.

 

Also, some people don't trust second hand devices.

Low end cards will always have a place in the market. While they do not present the best value (usually gaming), they do have their uses.

The laptop version was released in 2014, which is called just GeForce 710, without the "GT".

 

This is the desktop version.

Also, Luke just made a follow-up video on Vessel. Keep an eye out for it.

As has been said before that video's main point is it was ridiculous to spend $70-90 on a GPU like that, this one is $30-40 and not at all what either video was made about.
