Depends on the game.

Generally for fps games I like KB+M better. While for platformers, racing games, emulating games that are meant to be played with controller and a whole lot I prefer with controller.

I am a keyboard and mouse guy, mostly because I was born into the PC world, because my dad did stuff with computers a lot.

I bought minecraft for pc which got me into PC gaming, and at a friends I played Battlefield 4 with his PS4 controller and it felt strange.

Definitely depends on the game. I'm not going to play Super Meat Boy with a keyboard and I'm not going to play Gmod with a controller.

My ~$200 USD build:

AMD A8-7600    G. Skill Ripjaws Z @1800 CAS 8     EVGA 500w 80+ PSU    Gigabyte GAF2A68HM-DS2H Motherboard
