firefox>> chrome

Chrome>Firefox.

Google has also made the code open-source which allows competing browsers like Mozilla to take advantage of the algorithm

You should be. And you will be.

Not because of some nefarious, "mr. robot", type shit. But when for unexplained reasons your car insurance just goes up or whatever, it might have something to do about your remarks on certain video's, particular interests (street racing forums), or other type of metadata.

They're already using geographic location as a variable, it's only a matter of time before they start using metadata. Or if google starts an insurance department.

And that is just one reason. Honestly, any person that proclaims himself tech-savvy and says "i don't worry about my privacy" is really out-of-touch. You don't have to be a tinfoil-hat type figure to know that securing some part of your privacy is very important.

-------------------------------------

That said though, all of the browsers operate through your ISP, which happily discloses information to the goverment, so it's absolutely pointless to use these types of things. Only could be more trouble, since you can be fairly certain google chrome won't leak your creditcard info or whatever. (not on purpose atleast).

@MLGTurnip,

Also, your post doesn't meet the posting guideline.

Please follow the spirit of the guideline. For a good post we prefer to have:

-> Explanation of the news in your own words.

-> If you want, quotes to support what you are saying, quotes of people supporting/completing the news, or to complete (say for example, deep details)

-> Opinion/Personal though to help push the discussion.

-> Follow your news post thread, to participate it in, answer questions from people that you might know but miss to explain in the news, or watch for updates pointed by people (or found yourself), and update the main post accordingly.

-> Of course, post the sources (which you did).

-> Source article image(s) is nice, but entirely optional.

If you need help or assistance with your future post or just general questions that you might have now, just PM me at any time. I am always available, and would be a pleasure to help.
