Windows 10 update alert - apps stop working

So today I updated windows on my desktop, and started noticing problems right away after doing so. It would take 1min to load most web pages, all windows apps would hang (calculator, mail, etc), and some folders were moved around (user folders) documents, videos, downloads, etc).
Went though everything I could find online, and could not get anything to fix it.

Contacted Microsoft support, and got a really nice guy. Let him remote access my desktop, and troubleshoot. (I'm pretty good at windows / troubleshooting, but I'm never afraid to call for help)

Basically nothing worked. We recovered the computer back to a point a month  before, and that still did not work out the app problem.

The solution: Complete reset of windows...

I now have to reinstall all of my games and programs. Aprox 700gb...

Moral: Not all windows updates are reliable.

My AMD Build:

Wait, "Some folders moved around"?  I don't think any update ever has done that.  Are you sure it wasn't a virus or something?

This reminds me of the update that a lot of people got a questionable message when they rebooted

Yea, I know it sounds like a virus, but it wasn't. Basically, it changed the location of a lot of things. I have two hard drives and a ssd. I have windows and some programs on the ssd, all documents, downloads, videos, etc, are on the hdd. What happened is that It moved the location of all of the user folders from the hdd's to the sdd. The rep actualy said that this problem has occurred a lot with this update, and that the software engineers are working to fix it. He said they are not shure what causes it to happen to approx %5 of updates.

I did a clean install back in November. I had to buy it due to the fact that I was running a oem virson of windows 7 that i stole the key from a library computer.
