I almost killed Windows 10

LokiFire

Just found out that when I had my HD 7770 in the system to see if it works along side the 580, it installed AMD CCC behind the scenes.

Was playing CSGO and it closed out of nowhere to desktop.

Then bam NTKNL error.

At this point the PC will not stop BSOD'ing...

Doing a system restore to 2 days a go I found in affected programs AMD CCC. No idea a if this is a problem with Nvidia + AMD together or AMD drivers.

Nvidia drivers don't play nice with AMD drivers...as long as you installed Nvidia drivers first, it should have been completely fine...

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

I detest this automatic installation of driver though... this screws up more things than it solves.

Well because Fermi cannot do NVENC, i was thinking of using the 7770 as a sort of coprocessor to do OpenCL and record stuff with, looks like it is out of the window now.

It's basically... really hard, to say the least, to get a Nvidia card to play nicely with an AMD card.

its more annoying when windows decides to uninstall programs without you knowing though

You can use Intel Quick Sync with your iGPU.

It works pretty well with OBS + a stupidly high bit rate. The iGPU will cope fine though.

It's not a race to the bottom.
