Listen to any of the songs from someone like Kelly Clarkson or Katy Perry or Adele, it's usually about something like being independent and being strong and secure, while all other signs point to the opposite. It's just really annoying most of the time. And they all sound the same.

Sorry, poor wording - I meant that every song they come out with sounds really similar to a previous given song that they made. Sure, artists have their own personal styles, but there's gotta be some creativity there. Otherwise it just sounds derivative.
