Ticking Case!

Every few minutes sometimes every hour or sometimes at longest a few times a day my case will make a loud ticking noise like something plastic has been knocked into it??? Thing is nothing is touching it what could it be???

Failing hard drive maybe?

Check to make sure none of your fans have bent fins or are not performing well. That or it might be a failing hard drive, yeah.

@Matsy  its not ticking like hard drives sound its different, ive had a hard drive tick before... years ago

I used to have a similar problem with my old Dell, I just used to give it a kick when it happened and it stopped, never found out what it was, wasn't the hard drive as I am using the same one in my current rig.

@Liam-McShane ok, where and how have you heard of them settling and never doing it again???

My old case eventually stopped, it was some Thermaltake crap. It's like most things involving metal, they just take a little time for everything to settle.

I'm having a similar issue with my system and that's the PSU I use.....just curious.
