Hey,

     Can someone suggest me a lightweight software to check CPU temperature for laptop.Also is it possible to control CPU fans on Dell XPS 15z (i7)?

HWMonitor is amazing

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

might be, probably not

Just cause: I use my hand to check my CUP temps, Coffee gets pretty hot ya know?

 

HWmonitor is one of the best and it is portable meaning no install. You cannot control fans with it. Most OEM boards and laptops alike dont allow fan control, so if you want slower than you have to do it manually with a in-line resister or a fan controller. If they are noisy try updating the bios, sometimes that helps. I had a switch sound like a jet engine untill a certain firmware upgrade.

Thank you, I actually wanted to make the fans faster for better temperature.I really don't mind the noise.
