CPU cooler and Case fans for Enthoo Pro M

alfa42

Hello everyone,

I want to ask for your help in choosing a CPU cooler and case fans for a black&white/black themed build.

The future build is going to be in a Phanteks Enthoo Pro M (Acrylic) and I'm torn between the CPU coolers and case fans.

I *love* the perfomance of the Noctua fans and coolers, so my first selection was a Noctua D15 for the CPU and NF-A14 FLX case fans, but on second thought I can't convince myself that it will match decently with the black case :( (or maybe it will, what do you think?)

So, now I am looking for a good substitute that can match with the black case and have comparable perfomance and noise levels (with emphasis on the noise levels) to the D15.

For the case fans I'm leaning toward the Noiseblocker B14-2 (good contrast with the black case) or maybe the Be Quiet! Silent Wings 2 (complete black), and for the CPU I really can't figure out what is the best choise between:

* Cryorig R1 Ultimate (can change the plastic enclosure to match any themed build)

* Be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro 3 (most silent, complete black)

* Phanteks PH-TC14PE (can change the color of the cooler)

The Cryorig seems to have the same cooling perfomance as the D15, but seems more louder (especially under load). As for the Phanteks I couldn't find any reliable comparison with the other coolers to see how it performs.

Which CPU cooler would you choose? Are there any other case fans that perform better than the Noiseblocker or the Silent Wings?

Where are you shopping/located? Budget?

What are you cooling?

The PH-TC14PE is a bit better than the NH-D14.

It doesn't get much better than SW2's for 140mm case fans if at all.

I don't have a budget limit for the CPU cooler nor the case fans. I'll be cooling an i7 6700K with a slight overclock (if any)

I live in Spain, so all the shopping process will be either with Amazon or some local tech provider (if Amazon doesn't have stock)

Macho rev. B: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00PKJ21LW/?tag=pcpapi-20

Outfit the case and cooler with however many SW2's you'd like--140mm's over 120mm's where possible.

You could alternatively just stick with the stock case fans first and see how they are before deciding to replace them and going with a cheaper H7 if you're not pushing a heavy oc: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00S7YA5FQ/?tag=pcpapi-20

Thank you for the reply!

So the Thermalright Macho coupled with a SW2 (I think I could put only 1 fan instead of two for push/pull) will do better than the Phanteks TC14?

A SW2 would perform worse than the stock fan but would be quieter.

The cooler doesn't come with extra fan clips although Thermalright might provide some if you contact them.

It performs similarly to the PH-TC14PE.
